Communications Network

 

Creating a new 5-year strategy for a key global network of social sector communicators.

Challenge

The Communications Network is an influential and impactful network that brings together some of the world’s best communicators in the non-profit space to create positive change. The organisation had key decisions to make about how to maximise impact – about where to invest, and the right model of community growth.

Solution

We ran a multi-phase Future Story project with the Network’s Leaders and their Board, to explore different models of growth and development, to choose the path forward, and to properly explore and action the implications. This included facilitating Board workshops, and then a launch of the plan at the Network’s legendary annual event, ComNet, in Atlanta.

Impact

You can find the strategy here: https://www.comnetwork.org/strategic-plan. It was adopted unanimously by the Network’s Board, and has enabled key decisions around investment priorities, staffing focus, content creation and the development of new initiatives and priorities.
