Translating global positioning into stories that build reputation and attract new clients

This was genuinely one of the best training sessions we’ve run for the team here. It was the perfect balance of inspirational and practical, with lots that has been immediately applied within the business.

Challenge

The media agency market is unbelievably competitive, and standing out from the crowd is always difficult. OMD had a strong global positioning, “we create what’s next”, but wanted help translating that into a distinctive point of view.

Solution

We’ve run several different interventions, including working with the UK team on developing a point of view and product innovation that builds from the global positioning, and collaborating with the EMEA team on sharpening and elevating pitch skills to bring the project to life.

Impact

We had outstanding feedback from both the strategy sprint and the training sessions, which both teams thought brought clarity and sharpness to their work. OMD continues to go from strength to strength, including being named as Global Media Network of the year in Cannes.
